Hey college students/graduating high school seniors (must be 18+ this summer) looking for a SUMMER JOB? I am looking to hire students to be painters for Wyatt’s Student Painters in/around Springfield this summer. The job will begin in May and continue through the summer. 30-40 hours a week painting the exterior of houses in the Springfield area. Great schedule for students who want to work hard in a shorter amount of time and have a longer weekend! You don’t need any experience, as you will go through training. Just be willing to work hard and learn. Production management promotions available during the summer along with advancement opportunities into internship positions for 2026 Summer. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, and spray guns
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate application of materials
- Use construction estimating skills to help assess project scope and materials required
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols on construction sites and handling tools properly
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic about painting, restoration, and general handyman tasks with a desire to learn new skills
- Basic knowledge of color to assist in selecting appropriate paint finishes
- Experience with residential or commercial painting is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and airless paint spraying equipment
- Ability to read schematics or blueprints for project guidance
- Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination
- Basic math skills for measurements and estimations;
- Prior experience in construction site environments or renovation projects is preferred but not mandatory
