Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm for teaching and working with children will help foster their developmental growth, curiosity, and love for learning. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe, organized environment
- Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor activities to stimulate learning and creativity
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Help with classroom setup, cleaning, and organization to maintain a welcoming learning space
- Participate in ongoing online training sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
- Support the implementation of health and safety protocols, including basic first aid and CPR when necessary
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting is preferred; but we can train you if you have no experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; willingness to obtain if not already certified- we offer the class after being hired
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, children, and parents
- Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining flexibility and patience
