Payroll Clerk/Admin
Full time position to assist in processing in-house payrolls for 2000+ employees. The required job duties include but are not limited to:
· Validating employee work hours
· Verifying hourly wage
· Making adjustments for any pay increases or bonuses
· Processing deductions for wage garnishments and benefits
· New hire set-ups -- verify data/documents to ensure E-Verify processing
· Ensuring compliance with various government agencies including minimum wage requirements by state, child labor laws, FMLA laws, etc.
· Verifying vacation and/or sick time requested and ensure proper approvals on file
· Uploading data to the bank for direct deposits and positive pay for checks
· Processing voids due to returned direct deposits
· Instruct restaurant leaders on issuing replacement COD checks and processing in the payroll system with the relative voids.
· Researching discrepancies and working with restaurant leaders to resolve issues prior to payroll processing
· Processing payroll tax payments and posting to the general ledger
· Detail oriented to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely
· Ability to handle multiple priorities & deadlines
· Print and distribute reports or maintained in files (i.e., payroll reports, tip reports, monthly accruals for period end, monthly US Census reporting, salary detail for increases, ad-hoc)
Required skills:
· Team player that can also work independently with the ability to troubleshoot
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
· Good communication skills
· Excel experience required
