Job Summary:
Complete intermediate-level service and repair of our tractors, trailers, chassis, containers, and power equipment on-site at customer sites or rail yard using a mobile service truck. This is not a roadside assistance position.
The expected pay range for this position is $26.53-$33.16 per hour. We are offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform intermediate diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, tire replacements/flat repairs, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics, and basic structural repairs on tractor and trailer equipment
- Troubleshoot, and repair ABS system and specialized equipment including refrigerated units, lift gates, and frame alignment
- Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory
- Assist with the onboarding and mentorship of tractor technician trainees
- Follow all safety requirements while onsite and at customer locations
- Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established procedures
- Properly document damage to company equipment to estimate cost of repairs
- Demonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment to perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, and other equipment
- Patch holes in trailer or container side panels and roofs
- Perform annual AA trailer and FHWA brake inspections under direct supervision

Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 years of age for equipment up to 10k lbs. or 21 years of age for equipment over 10k lbs. with at least 2 years of experience in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair or combination of education and experience
- Possess a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through our toolbox purchase program
- Willingness to work outdoors in the elements and able to work across multiple shifts, if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- DOT certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes, with 1 year experience conducting inspections
- Welding and forklift certifications and experience
- EPA section 608 certification and refrigeration license
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time. This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
