LEAVEN KIDS, a fast-growing nonprofit organization headquartered in Fairfield, California, is seeking a Learning Center Site Director in San Antonio, Texas.
The Learning Center Site Director will maintain and operate on a daily basis an established after-school learning center for at-risk elementary-age students K-6.
The center operates five days a week between the hours of 2:00 - 6:00PM. The Site Director must have a desire to work with children and see them overcome obstacles and succeed in school. The Site Director is expected to contribute to building community support through active participation in meetings and community events, and interacting with local government, community organizations and the faith community.
Qualifications
- 1+ Years in Education or related field preferred
- Proven experience in education administration
- Strong background in teaching elementary aged students
- Ability to effectively engage and manage students
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations and after-school programs
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the after-school program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for students.
- Develop and implement educational activities that promote learning and personal growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student needs and enhance program offerings.
- Manage program staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teaching practices.
- Communicate with parents and the community to foster strong relationships and promote program participation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.14 per hour
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
