Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience teaching students with autism (elementary grades preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to apply differentiated instruction
- Excellent collaboration skills with families, staff, and support personnel
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction for elementary students on the autism spectrum
- Develop and adjust IEPs to ensure student growth and success
- Foster an inclusive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Track students’ progress, documenting growth and adjusting strategies as needed
- Participate actively in meetings, ongoing professional development, and school initiatives
