Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops hybrid course, Dosage Calculations (NUR101)(1 credit) and/or delivers course in a hybrid format including both online instruction and in-person instruction and assessment of student learning. This course is to be delivered Fall 2026 semester.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Teach students dosage calculations.

Provide instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes.

Select and develop appropriate materials for class use.

Track and assess student progress.

Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.

Develop established course for online/hybrid format.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Nursing.

College level teaching experience in nursing.
-
Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.
-
Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
-
Ability to create classroom environment that engages students and supports learning.
-
Skill in using technology to support the teaching and learning process.
-
Enthusiasm for and interest in excellence for the delivery of online learning.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional development in teaching at the community college level.

Advanced degree in Nursing.

Experience using Moodle Learning Management System.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Compensation for developing course is $500 ($500 per credit). Compensation for course delivery follows the guideline of the relevant MCCC contract. Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale (currently $1,512 for 1-credit course). Part-time, non-benefited, MCCC Unit position.
