Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a diverse selection of beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and craft beers, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and build lasting relationships.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute creative ideas to enhance the bar menu.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies; assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Handle cash handling procedures responsibly while processing payments swiftly during busy service hours.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or hospitality environments; cocktail experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, mixology techniques, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math understanding, and food safety procedures.
- Experience with food handling or catering services is a plus; banquet experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques in a food industry setting.
- Hospitality industry experience that demonstrates adaptability in fast-paced environments.
