- Open and edit DXF/DWG files in AutoCAD and use CutLogic 3D to set up nests and cut programs
- Read structural steel shop drawings and fabrication details to confirm part accuracy before cutting
- Perform general fabrication work — cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, layout — when not running the plasma table
- Assist other fabricators with cutting, fitting, and welding as needed
- Operate a forklift and perform rigging to move and position material and parts
- Track steel inventory and order material as needed to keep jobs stocked
- Keep consumables stocked and perform routine maintenance on the plasma table
- Follow shop safety procedures and keep the work area organized

- Experience running a CNC plasma table (Shop Sabre or similar)
- Ability to read structural steel shop drawings and blueprints
- Comfortable tracking material inventory and placing orders as needed
- Forklift operating experience and knowledge of rigging practices
