Position Overview
The AES Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to design, build, and maintain scalable automation solutions across web, API, backend, and integrated application environments.
The ideal candidate will bring strong programming expertise, hands-on automation framework experience, and the ability to support continuous testing within modern CI/CD pipelines. Candidates must provide an accurate resume reflecting their experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.
- Create automated test scripts using Java, Python, or C#.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, UI, and end-to-end testing.
- Build continuous testing solutions and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Review business and technical requirements to create test strategies, test cases, and automation plans.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, DevOps engineers, and quality assurance teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex application and automation issues.
- Perform performance, cross-browser, and cross-platform testing when required.
- Participate in code reviews and recommend improvements to automation frameworks.
- Enhance testing standards, reusable components, reporting, and overall quality engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.
- Strong programming experience with Java, Python, or C#.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of web, API, backend, integration, and UI testing.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
- Ability to create comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and automation plans.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to work onsite in Plano, Texas, five days per week.
