Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are upheld at all times
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
- Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements during busy hours
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for cashiering and food handling
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for the food industry is essential
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued highly
