Orange County Heart Institute is a large ICAL accredited cardiology practice seeking an experienced sonographer to perform resting and stress echocardiograms and Doppler studies. Carotid experience is preferred.
The position requires:
Following established testing protocols while acquiring the highest possible quality study images & data.
Obtaining the relevant patient history from the EMR prior to each exam.
Responsible for verifying the physician order for each exam.
Explain testing procedures to patients and family members as necessary.
Obtain all standard measurements and calculations.
Prepare preliminary report for the reviewing physician.
Develop and maintain good relationships with patients and co-workers.
Participates in quality improvement and attends quality improvement meetings.
Assist in maintaining ICAL accreditation.
Job Requirements:
Allied health degree in cardiac ultrasound preferred.
ARDMS or CCI registered.
3 + years clinical experience in cardiac ultrasound.
Good keyboard skills and experience with EMR required.
Ability to work quickly and independently with high attention to detail in a fast-paced practice.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to work effectively with customers, peers and physicians.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
