Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Office Assistant/X-Ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our medical facility. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and administrative expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our practice while delivering exceptional service to our patients.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting medical histories.
- Take X-Rays as directed by physician.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks to support the clinic's operations.
- Provide basic life support when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication usage, and follow-up care instructions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a X-Ray Technician or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support and X-Ray techniques.
- Experience in outpatient settings is a plus; familiarity with podiatry, geriatrics or hospital medicine is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
