Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Resident Relations Associate to join our vibrant property management team. Duties
- Serve as the main liaison between residents and property management, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and courteously.
- Manage lease or rental agreement processes, including signing, renewals, and documentation updates using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of property issues and oversee property maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, lease agreements, payments, and legal documentation in compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Landlord-Tenant law.
- Facilitate communication regarding rent collection, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other subsidy programs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Assist in conflict management by mediating disputes between residents or with external vendors while maintaining professionalism and adherence to legal standards.
- Support leasing activities by upselling available units, conducting tours, and managing client relationships to maximize occupancy rates.
- Utilize property management tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and client relationship management software to streamline administrative tasks like data entry, filing, and reporting.
- Collaborate with team members on budgeting efforts related to property operations and resident services to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Uphold office etiquette standards during phone calls and in-person interactions to foster a positive community atmosphere.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on leasing or tenant relations.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and related legal frameworks.
- Prior experience working within a property management company or facilities management environment is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution effectively while maintaining professional communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills complemented by negotiation abilities for lease agreements and contract discussions.
- Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, budgeting support, and using Microsoft Office applications is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
