In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and completion of diverse landscaping and hardscape installations, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety standards are met. Your hands-on management will inspire your crew to deliver exceptional outdoor environments that exceed client expectations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all phases of construction projects, including planting, hardscaping, irrigation installation, and grounds maintenance.
- Lead and manage a crew of landscapers and grounds maintenance staff, providing clear direction, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee the operation of landscaping equipment, grounds maintenance tools, and company vehicles to maintain safety and productivity on-site.
- Ensure proper plant identification, horticultural practices, and tree care techniques are applied during project execution.
- Manage irrigation systems installation and maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues to optimize water efficiency.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors to coordinate schedules and resolve any on-site challenges promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscaping, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and hardscape construction.
- Strong supervising experience with a focus on team management and crew supervision.
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, tree care, gardening techniques, and grounds maintenance practices.
- Skilled in irrigation management and troubleshooting irrigation systems.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently; experience with outdoor work environments is essential.
- Familiarity with construction standards and project requirements.
- Excellent leadership skills combined with effective communication abilities to motivate teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience leading landscape and irrigation crews.
- Previous foreman or crew leader experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-minded.
Hourly wage: Negotiable based on experience
