We are partnering with a rapidly growing public technology company to identify a Revenue Manager to join its expanding Revenue Accounting team. This is a highly visible opportunity supporting a complex and evolving revenue environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
This role will serve as a key partner across Accounting, FP&A, Sales, Operations, IT, and Commercial Finance while helping drive accurate revenue recognition, process improvements, and operational scalability. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise under ASC 606, experience navigating complex revenue arrangements, and the ability to thrive within a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Lead day-to-day revenue accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, analytics, and reporting
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and related accounting treatment in compliance with ASC 606
- Review and evaluate complex customer contracts and multi-element revenue arrangements, including SaaS, software, hardware, and professional services
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, FP&A, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to resolve revenue-related matters and improve order-to-cash processes
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities, revenue reporting, and financial statement disclosures
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and support SOX compliance initiatives, internal audits, and external audit requests
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to improve scalability and efficiency
- Assist with technical accounting research and documentation related to revenue recognition matters
- Mentor and support junior team members within the accounting organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or revenue accounting experience
- Strong expertise with ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition concepts
- Experience within a publicly traded company and SOX-compliant environment preferred
- Background within SaaS, software, technology, or other complex revenue environments strongly preferred
- Experience reviewing and analyzing multi-element arrangements and customer contracts
- ERP system experience required; advanced Excel skills
- Experience with reporting, automation, and data analytics tools is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred, though strong candidates from either background will be considered
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with commercial and operational teams
- Exposure to process optimization, automation initiatives, and scalable accounting operations
- Prior experience managing or mentoring team members is a plus
- Base salary up to $165K (flexible for the right candidate)
