Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential spaces, including bedrooms, living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces when applicable
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents to clean surfaces, floors, carpets, and upholstery effectively
- Manage laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
- Dust surfaces, clean windows, mirrors, and other fixtures to maintain a spotless environment
- Handle manual tasks like heavy lifting of furniture or appliances safely and efficiently
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and preferences
- Maintain organized cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of equipment
- Follow safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment handling
- Contribute to overall housekeeping management by ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles; janitorial or custodial experience is highly valued
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and outdoor work experience if applicable
- Familiarity with various cleaning detergents, equipment, and surface cleaning methods
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine duties
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs
- Basic cooking skills are a plus for clients requesting additional household assistance
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform manual handling throughout the shift
- Reliable work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness standards
