Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned, bilingual (English/Spanish) Loan Officer Assistant who can confidently manage a pipeline while communicating clearly with both English- and Spanish-speaking clients.
This is not an entry-level role. You must be comfortable working directly with borrowers, managing files end-to-end, and supporting a Loan Officer in a fast-paced production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage loan files from application through closing
- Communicate directly with English and Spanish-speaking borrowers
- Review income, assets, and credit for completeness before submission
- Collect documentation and clear conditions efficiently
- Coordinate with processors, underwriters, escrow, and agents
- Ensure files are structured properly before submission
- Track timelines to support 21-day clear-to-close goals
- Send updates to clients and referral partners
- Assist with disclosures and loan setup in LOS (Encompass preferred)
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- 3+ years experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or Processor
- Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM loan programs
- Experience with Encompass (mandatory)
- Ability to analyze income (W2, self-employed, etc.)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to take ownership and solve problems independently
