This is a homecare position providing a treatment for pain called electroanalgesia. This involves placing electrodes on the person and helping them to be comfortable for a one-hour treatment. It is important that you are able to teach the patient how the treatment works so that they understand what to expect, therefore, you should have a basic understanding of physiology or be able to learn quickly.
The candidate should be service oriented and comfortable working with vulnerable people. Good conversational skills and well-spoken are very important to this position. The candidate should:
- have a valid driver's license, insurance and a dependable car
- include a resume and hours of availability
- be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- learn quickly
- have a vaccination record including Hep B
- be able to help position patients comfortably, set up moist heat pads and electrical stimulation electrodes to specifications provided
- be able to provide guidance and demonstrate exercises to patients per specifications provided
- computer literate for patient scheduling
- answer phone calls professionally
- do laundry (wash and fold towels)
Pay: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour
