Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pasta Maker/Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare fresh pasta dough and shape various pasta types according to traditional recipes and restaurant standards
- Cook pasta to the correct texture, ensuring optimal flavor and consistency
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pasta dishes and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pasta station and kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and smooth service flow
- Handle food ingredients carefully, practicing proper food handling techniques at all times
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of pasta dishes with attention to detail and presentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook within a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is highly desirable
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating attention to dietary needs and restrictions
- Fine dining experience or work in upscale restaurants is preferred, emphasizing quality presentation and precision
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for culinary arts, especially Italian cuisine, with a focus on authentic pasta making
