Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring products are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This role supervises warehouse associates, maintains inventory accuracy, and drives continuous improvements in warehouse organization, productivity, and safety.
Primary ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
- Coordinate daily carrier pickups and outbound shipments.
- Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse associates.
- Assign daily work and monitor productivity.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused culture.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new warehouse team members as the company grows.
- Conduct performance coaching and provide ongoing feedback.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper product rotation and warehouse organization.
- Support inventory reconciliation and annual physical inventory counts.
Shipping & Receiving
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight.
- Ensure shipments meet customer and carrier requirements.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely, as needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, workflow, and organization.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Help implement best practices that improve productivity, accuracy, and safety.
- Collaborate with Operations to support business growth and process improvements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
