We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of forklifts and heavy equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet remains reliable, safe, and ready to meet customer demands. Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on forklifts, including electrical diagnostics and mechanical systems.
- Conduct maintenance on construction machinery, farm equipment, and other industrial vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and air brake systems with precision.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery to complete repairs.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform tire service, alignment checks, and HVAC repairs when necessary to keep equipment operational.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or forklift technician with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engine diagnostics.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for complex equipment troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards for forklifts and industrial machinery.
- Skilled in welding, soldering, and using various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Experience with automotive repair including transmissions, brake repair, tire service, and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
