Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to enhance the quality of life for our clients through effective behavior management and therapeutic techniques.
Kind Care ABA is a BCBA run agency who doesn't aim to just support our clients, but the BCBAs and RBTs who work with us. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve daily functioning.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals, ensuring accurate documentation for treatment plans.
- Provide direct support in teaching new skills and reinforcing positive behaviors through structured activities.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of client information.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and special education.
Skills
- Proficient in behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of patient care practices and ability to assist with ADLs.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation, and record-keeping related to care plans.
- Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to collect data accurately and analyze it for reporting purposes.
