The Youth Leadership Coach serves as a trusted mentor, role model, and facilitator who empowers students to develop a strong sense of belonging, hope, agency, and leadership.
Through meaningful daily interactions, intentional relationship-building, and engaging leadership development experiences, the Coach fosters a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality programming, monitoring student engagement and growth, and serving as a consistent, positive presence that inspires students to reach their full potential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with students that foster belonging, hope, agency, and leadership.
Facilitate high-quality leadership development experiences and daily program activities.
Support student engagement, attendance, and overall success through mentoring, encouragement, and accountability.
Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and organizational initiatives.
Serve as a positive role model who reflects NorthStar's mission, values, and culture.

Physical and Environmental Conditions
Work is typically performed in office and classroom environments, while standing, sitting, or walking. Some public contact, both over the phone and in person is to be expected. Occasional light lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be needed.
