American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital Operating Room setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and broad surgical service line knowledge.

Hospital-based Operating Room setting in Asheville, NC

Broad surgical case mix including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma cases

1:1 patient ratio

Cerner EMR in use

12-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, on a variable schedule

Call required as part of the schedule

May be required to float to other departments

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CST, with active experience in the role within the last 6 months

CST certification required; state license required if applicable

BLS certification from AHA or ARC required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Experience across multiple surgical service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

This is a Level II trauma center serving as the region's referral center, also housing a comprehensive stroke center and Level III NICU

The facility operates the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas and is the only provider of open heart and interventional cardiology in the region

Scrubs are provided by the facility

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
