Overview
The Activities Director plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or nursing homes. Activity Director Duties
Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that caters to the interests and abilities of residents.
Schedule and manage daily activities, ensuring a balanced mix of recreational therapy, social events, and educational opportunities.
Collaborate with staff to create a supportive environment that encourages resident participation.
Assess residents' needs and preferences to tailor activities accordingly, providing personalized care.
Organize special events and outings that foster community engagement and enhance resident enjoyment.
Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to continually improve programming.
Provide guidance and support to volunteers assisting with activities, ensuring they are well-prepared to engage with residents.

Activity Director Qualifications
Proven experience in schedule management within a caregiving or healthcare setting.
Background in event planning or recreational therapy is highly desirable.
Knowledge of long-term care principles and senior care best practices.
