We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of low voltage systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of telecommunications, data networking, security systems, and other low-voltage infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic networks, structured cabling, Ethernet, VoIP telephony, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and radio frequency (RF) testing equipment.
- Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-quality data transmission.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute system installations and repairs.
- Conduct network installation and wiring for LAN (Local Area Network), telecommunication systems, and data centers using Cat5, Cat6 cables, and other structured cabling components.
- Diagnose electrical issues related to AC/DC electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and power tools; troubleshoot equipment failures efficiently.
- Install and terminate cables with precision to ensure reliable communication system performance; perform cable testing and certification.
- Provide field service support by responding promptly to service calls, performing system upgrades or repairs onsite while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems and security infrastructure installation.
- Proficiency with computer networking concepts including Ethernet configurations, network wiring, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and network cabling standards.
- Experience with fiber splicing techniques for fiber optic systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of telecommunication systems such as VoIP telephony (including Avaya), radio frequency (RF) testing, and telephony equipment repair.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams for complex low-voltage wiring projects.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely for electrical wiring and equipment installation tasks.
- Familiarity with low-voltage electrical wiring standards for structured cabling in commercial environments.
- Knowledge of computer hardware setup and maintenance related to network infrastructure.
- Experience working with telecommunications testing equipment to verify system performance.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic tools; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Service technician experience in data centers or large-scale network environments is highly desirable.

Pay: $30.00 - $41.00 per hour
