Ohman Family Living at Holly in Newbury, Ohio is actively building a brand new Respiratory Therapy program, and we are hiring Respiratory Therapists who want to be part of it from the start.
This is not a position where you walk into a fully scripted system. RTs coming in now will collaborate directly with leadership and have a real voice in how the program is built and run. You will work under Shelly Westfall, a Respiratory Program Director with more than 20 years of experience building and leading successful respiratory programs. THE CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT
A newer facility with large resident rooms, modern equipment, and a Linkview alarm system on ventilators. You will work alongside engaged nursing staff in a setting built for real interdisciplinary collaboration. The respiratory equipment is current and well maintained, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, CPAP and BiPAP machines, and airway management equipment.
RESPIRATORY THERAPIST RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Respiratory Therapist at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you will deliver high quality cardiopulmonary and respiratory care to residents across a range of conditions and acuity levels.
Assess, interview, and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions Develop and implement respiratory treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team Deliver and manage respiratory therapy treatments and interventions Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory treatments, disease management, and equipment use Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, CPAP, BiPAP, and airway management devices Support pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory wellness programming Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required, Ohio Limited Permit (L1) holders welcome Current BLS certification required Experience in skilled nursing, long term care, rehabilitation, ICU, LTACH, pulmonary rehab, or ventilator management is a plus but not required New graduates encouraged to apply Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing, physicians, and clinical care teams
