Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
- Retaining knowledge of any changes in recipe, processes or plating as needed.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Skills
- Proficient in food handling techniques, knife skills and knowledge of food safety standards.
- Experience working in the food service industry, particularly in a restaurant or kitchen setting.
- Strong skills in meal preparation with an understanding of dietary needs and preferences.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods and to keep a clean environment during slow periods.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new cooking methods and recipes.
