Job description:
We are looking for a referral intake coordinator whose primary responsibilities are verifying patient insurances for eligibility of services and requesting prior authorizations for skilled clinical services. They will communicate with doctor's offices, health insurance companies plus our staff of clinicians as well as monitor and update charts within our EMR.
Job responsibilities:
- Monitoring of referrals from our sources
- Verification of patient insurance benefits and network coverage levels
- Obtaining prior authorization from insurance companies for home health services
- Creation of patient profile within our EMR
- Maintaining a running log of all new/current/expiring authorizations for referrals
- Communication with team members, doctor's offices, hospitals and clinicians
