Job Summary
We are hiring compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide exceptional care in the school office settings, 1:1 cases, and on field trips. New graduate RNs are welcome to apply!
As an RN, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to students in the school settings. You will assess the health problems and needs, maintain medical records and ensure compliance with health regulations. The School Nurse will collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support the physical and emotional health of students.
Job Responsibilities
- Working 1:1 with students with disabilities.
- Nurse office coverage.
- Assess and evaluate students' health needs through regular health screenings and monitoring of vital signs.
- Administer medications and provide first aid as necessary for injuries or illnesses that occur during school hours.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Comply with reporting guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Excellent communication, strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current NY RN license.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Experience in school nursing or pediatrics preferred but not required.
- Up-to-date medical documentation (Physical, Titers, QuantiFERON).
- Fingerprinting clearance.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in urgent care or clinic settings a plus.

- Competitive Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 an hour. Pay rates are subject to change on a case-by-case basis
