Matrix Providers is hiring a Pharmacist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.
- Employment Status: Full-time
- Compensation: This is a salaried, exempt position, paid bi-weekly. $63.92-$66.92
- Schedule: Services are provided between the hours of 7:00 am-6:00 pm Monday – Friday. 1 day per week and vacation coverage required. Coverage for call out as needed, preferred.
- Current schedule: 7:30-am 4:30 pm Monday-Friday excluding Federal Holidays and scheduled closures.

The Pharmacist must have and meet the following:
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
- Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as a pharmacist.
- Certification: Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.
Pharmacist Core Job Duties:
- Provide comprehensive pharmacy services while ensuring safe and effective medication management.
- Review patient medication profiles to monitor therapy and identify potential concerns.
- Evaluate prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, allergies, interactions, and therapeutic duplication.
- Collaborate with providers to resolve medication-related discrepancies and improve patient safety.
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, directions, and potential precautions.
- Compound medications as required according to established pharmacy standards.
- Verify the accuracy and quality of medications prepared or processed by pharmacy staff.
- Oversee pharmaceutical inventory management, including ordering, storage, and availability of medications.
- Maintain strict security, accountability, and documentation for controlled substances.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and patient care standard
Department/Patient Information:
- Workload: Pharmacists primarily verify prescriptions, respond to patient messages, and answer occasional phone calls. The pharmacy processes approximately 650 prescriptions daily, with each pharmacist typically verifying 300–600 prescriptions per day.
- Work Environment: The pharmacy is generally calm and quiet, although it can become fast-paced on busy days. Staff remain productive during slower periods, and Mondays are typically busier than Fridays.
- Training: Onboarding can take approximately 1–2 months, with the timeline depending largely on system access and the employee’s prior experience. Most pharmacists become comfortable working independently within about one month.
