Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in both outpatient traditional and aquatic physical therapy.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
- Support patients during therapy sessions by guiding them through exercises and ensuring proper technique.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the sanitization of equipment and treatment areas.
- Document patient exercises and report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Help patients with mobility needs, including transferring them to and from treatment tables or equipment.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities as directed by the therapist.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Answering phone calls and creating appointments as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and orthopedic principles is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures related to aquatic and physical therapy.
- Must be able to assist with lifting and moving patients as needed during therapy sessions.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
