Fall Musical Assistant Director
Location: Jackson Middle School

Duties:

Assist Director with tryouts, play rehearsals and performances

Attend rehearsals 2 days a week (3:20-5:20), auditions, dress rehearsals, and performances

Play an active role with casting, directing, supervising, organizing, managing behavior, and helping out where needed during auditions, rehearsals, and performances

Prepare as needed for productive rehearsals; for example, become familiar with the script and create plans for portions of rehearsals

If more than one rehearsal is missed for any reason, work with head director to schedule a day to make it up

Prioritize creating a meaningful experience for each student where they can develop important life skills, find a sense of belonging, and feel proud of their show

Music, dance, and/or acting experience strongly preferred
15 rehearsals; 3 audition days; 4 dress rehearsals; performances about 14 hours; approximately 5 hours prep
Start Date: 9/8/26.
Salary: $1363.25
