Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to meet kitchen health and safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping, assembling ingredients, and organizing supplies to support kitchen efficiency.
- Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere for guests.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots, crates of supplies, or trash removal while adhering to proper manual handling techniques.
- Follow all food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Support the culinary team by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during busy service periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation practices is essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
- Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates your ability to uphold hygiene standards consistently.
