Position Summary
The Compliance, Risk & Safety (CRS) Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the organization's compliance, risk, and safety systems and serves as the facility's operational health and safety lead. The Analyst tracks incidents and loss exposures from initial report through resolution, coordinates the facility's health and safety program (inspections, drills, and emergency preparedness), maintains accreditation and licensure records in an audit-ready state, and prepares compliance and safety reporting for leadership. This position reports to executive leadership and works cross-departmentally to support survey readiness and an organizational culture of safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the organization's SharePoint and Microsoft Power Automate compliance, risk, and safety system, including critical incident reports, corrective action plans (CAPs), and the risk exposure log.
- Monitor all incident and loss-exposure submissions to ensure each receives documented follow-up and is resolved within required timeframes, including the 72-hour CAP window; escalate overdue items to leadership.
- Serve as the facility's operational health and safety lead, coordinating the health and safety program in support of the designated Health & Safety Officer.
- Conduct the biweekly facility safety inspections (fire, security, medication storage, emergency equipment, environmental, kitchen, ADA accessibility, and infection control), document results, and follow up on identified deficiencies.
- Maintain the emergency drill schedule and associated drill documentation.
- Administer the preventive-maintenance (PM) schedule and maintenance activity log — tracking outstanding and overdue items, converting failed safety-inspection findings into work orders, and monitoring them through to completion. (Vendor dispatch and payment are managed by the accounting team.)
- Maintain compliance trackers, including licensure and credentials, inspection records, monthly OIG/LEIE exclusion screening, and CARF/accreditation action items.
- Analyze compliance, risk, and safety data to identify trends and prepare reporting for monthly and quarterly leadership (Executive Leadership Committee) meetings.
- Collaborate with department leaders to resolve compliance, risk, and safety matters.
- Support CARF and DMHA survey readiness and coordinate documentation for external inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, risk management, or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in compliance, risk management, quality assurance, or safety, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and Power Automate, or a demonstrated ability to learn enterprise workflow systems.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and reporting skills, and consistent follow-through.
- Effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of CARF standards, Indiana DMHA regulations (440 IAC), HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Professional certification such as CPHRM or CHC.
