The Opportunity
American Bath Group is seeking an experienced AR Deductions & Cash Applications Lead to play a critical role in accelerating the company's Accounts Receivable transformation.
This position sits at the intersection of Revenue Assurance, Process Improvement, and Technology Enablement, with primary responsibility for leading retail deductions management, improving cash application performance, and serving as the business subject matter expert for the implementation of the HighRadius platform.
As a major supplier to large retail customers, ABG manages significant deduction activity, chargebacks, and short-pay claims. This role will help reduce revenue leakage, improve recovery rates, standardize processes across business units, and support the successful deployment of HighRadius Cash Application and Deductions solutions.
This is a highly visible position that partners closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, IT, and external implementation teams to drive measurable business impact.
What You'll DoRevenue Assurance & Deductions Management
- Analyze, validate, and resolve retail deductions, chargebacks, short-pays, and claims.
- Investigate root causes of recurring deductions and identify opportunities to reduce future occurrences.
- Challenge invalid deductions through dispute and recovery processes.
- Monitor deduction aging, recovery performance, and revenue leakage trends.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to improve deduction prevention and resolution.
Cash Application Leadership
- Support and improve cash application processes across multiple business units and ERP environments.
- Drive resolution of unapplied, unidentified, and misapplied cash.
- Improve cash application accuracy and efficiency through process standardization and automation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline customer payment posting and reconciliation activities.
HighRadius Implementation & Transformation
- Serve as the business SME for the HighRadius Cash Application and Deductions implementation.
- Translate business requirements into workflows, rules, and system configurations.
- Participate in solution design, testing, validation, training, and deployment activities.
- Support change management and adoption efforts across the organization.
- Help define future-state AR processes and operating procedures.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and KPIs focused on deductions, recoveries, cash application performance, and revenue assurance.
- Provide insights into trends across customers, brands, and business units.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements that increase automation, efficiency, and control.
- Help standardize AR processes across multiple systems and operating locations.
What Success Looks Like
During your first 12 months, you will:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of ABG's AR operations across multiple business units and ERP systems.
- Become the go-to subject matter expert for deductions management and cash application processes.
- Successfully support the implementation and adoption of HighRadius Deductions and Cash Application functionality.
- Establish meaningful visibility into deduction activity, recovery performance, and revenue leakage.
- Build scalable reporting and KPI dashboards that support Revenue Assurance initiatives.
- Drive measurable improvements in deduction recovery, cash application accuracy, process efficiency, and operational consistency.
- Help create standardized AR processes that can scale with the organization's continued growth.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience.
- Strong experience managing deductions, chargebacks, short-pays, dispute resolution, and cash application activities.
- Experience supporting retail, manufacturing, distribution, or similar business environments.
- Hands-on experience with HighRadius, preferably within Deductions and/or Cash Application modules.
- Experience supporting system implementations, process improvement initiatives, or business transformation projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within shared services environments.
- Experience supporting multiple ERP systems.
- Revenue assurance, reporting, dashboard development, or business analytics experience.
- Prior team lead, project lead, or informal leadership experience.
- Experience supporting major retail customers such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, Target, Menards, or similar accounts.
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: Monday through Thursday onsite in Irving, TX; Friday remote.
