Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) — All Shifts Available
New Dynamics Behavior Health LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Behavioral Health Technicians for our residential behavioral health facility in Avondale, Arizona.
Our facility serves adult men and women receiving support for mental-health and substance-use concerns. We provide a safe, supportive, and structured residential environment focused on recovery, stability, independent living skills, and personal growth.
SCHEDULE
We are currently filling full-time and part-time positions on multiple shifts, including weekdays, weekends, days, evenings, and overnights. Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview.
COMPENSATION
Pay ranges from $17.00–$20.00 per hour based on relevant experience, education, credentials, and leadership ability.
- Entry-level applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may start at $17.00 per hour.
- Applicants with at least one year of relevant experience may qualify for $18.00 per hour.
- Applicants with two or more years of strong behavioral-health or residential-care experience may qualify for $19.00 per hour.
- Highly qualified applicants with extensive experience, relevant education, additional credentials, or leadership ability may qualify for $20.00 per hour.
- New employees who remain actively employed and in good standing will receive a $150 sign-on bonus after completing 90 days of employment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a safe, supportive, respectful, and structured residential environment.
- Monitor resident safety while protecting residents’ rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with residents.
- Document resident activities, progress, concerns, incidents, and staff interventions accurately and on time.
- Support residents in following their individualized treatment and service plans.
- Assist residents in developing daily living, social, and independent-living skills.
- Facilitate appropriate recreational and social activities.
- Prepare meals and help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the residence.
- Transport residents to approved appointments, therapeutic services, and other authorized activities.
- Assist with medication services only as trained, authorized, and permitted under facility policies.
- Communicate resident needs, behavioral changes, incidents, and safety concerns promptly to appropriate clinical or supervisory staff.
- Follow all facility policies, behavioral-health requirements, and instructions from clinical and administrative leadership.
- Complete required training and participate in clinical oversight.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must meet the facility’s established qualifications for a Behavioral Health Technician.
- Current Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Current in-person CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old because the position may require transporting residents.
- Ability to complete all required employment screening and facility training.
- Ability to communicate professionally and complete clear, accurate documentation.
- Ability to work effectively with adults experiencing mental-health and substance-use concerns.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to work.
EXPERIENCE
Previous behavioral-health, residential-treatment, substance-use-treatment, caregiving, or related experience is preferred but not required. Entry-level applicants who meet the facility’s BHT qualifications and demonstrate professionalism, reliability, good judgment, and a genuine commitment to helping others are encouraged to apply.
