Job Summary:
ECS Commercial Cleaning is seeking a full-time day shift custodian to maintain the cleanliness of a daycare facility in the New Danville/Lancaster area. Cleaning areas include student classrooms,, break rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, etc. Other areas include administrative offices, nurses' offices, front lobby, etc.
Must have ability and experience with cleaning up any bodily fluids. A strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and a focused attention to detail are must-haves for this role.
Candidates must have their own vehicle to reliably transport themselves to the job location. Since this work is done in a school setting, candidates must have a clean background and be able to pass a PA State background check, child abuse clearance, NSOR clearance, and FBI fingerprinting. In addition, all hiring is done contingent on passing a drug test.
Schedule/Compensation:
Monday-Friday
7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Pay: $17/hr/biweekly pay
Employees are eligible for full health benefits (medical, dental, vision) after 60 days of employment.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure an overall detailed clean of assigned areas (dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
- Cleaning up any bodily fluid spills.
- Clean all windows and glass.
- Clean and detail bathrooms inside classrooms and in hallways. Bathroom cleaning focuses on sinks, urinals, stalls, walls, sinks/fixtures, ceiling vents, etc.
- Clean common areas (lobby area, break room, kitchen).
- Emptying trash
- Keep all supply closets stocked and organized. Communicate with the customer as to supplies needed.
Other Requirements:
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance in alignment with the company or specific location attendance policy.
- Execute all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards/procedures as set forth by the company, clients, and/or regulatory authorities (OSHA).
- Communicate any structural deficiencies, safety hazards, cleanliness issues, or maintenance issues to your direct report and/or client.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform detailed cleaning in confined spaces.
- Be able to walk, sit, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs without physical limitation
