Required Skills & Abilities:
- At least five (5) years preferred
- Flexible to work AM and PM shifts, mid-shifts, weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Must be able to stand/walk for at least eight (8) hours and lift/carry at least 25-30 pounds
- Current Food Handler Certification Required
Job Description:
- Manage all aspects of kitchen and culinary operations including food and labor cost, inventory, sanitization, ordering, proper handling/storage of all food items according to required standard.
- Interview, hire, provide hands on training for new hires and implement development plans for staff.
- Create new menu items, test and write recipes to attract desired customer market.
- Establish and achieve profit objectives and desired standards of quality food, cleanliness, and ensure all culinary staff consistently follows recipes and yield guidelines with high food quality standards.
- Assist catering sales management with developing special menus for functions and meet with clients as requested.
- Regularly review and evaluate the degree of food quality for outlets and banquets. Create new menu ideas/recipes whenever declining or constant sales imply dissatisfaction by customers, customer market or change in the competitive surroundings.
