About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand-new kitchen as part of a growing cafe. You will report directly to the Head Chef and play an important role in preparing and serving our breakfast and lunch menu.
Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast menu items
- Assemble fresh salads and signature sandwiches
- Assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation
- Maintain food quality and presentation standards
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary
- Follow food safety and health department guidelines
- Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking, and inventory
- Work efficiently during busy morning service
Qualifications
- Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Food Handler's Certificate is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
