Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Transmission Rebuilder to join our automotive repair team. Responsibilities
- Disassemble and inspect used or faulty transmissions to identify issues
- Rebuild transmissions by replacing worn or damaged components using precision tools
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to test electrical components
- Clean and prepare transmission parts for reassembly
- Perform quality checks to ensure rebuilt transmissions meet safety and performance standards
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and work performed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed to support overall shop operations
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or transmission rebuilding preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts for extended periods
- Prior experience in automotive repair or related field is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
Pay: $27.54 - $33.16 per hour
