Cantu Cooling LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician with 5- 10 years of residential experience to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Applicants should be able to work independently, troubleshoot complex HVAC issues efficiently, and communicate professionally with customers.
The position requires travel to customer locations throughout the Central Valley using a company service vehicle during work hours.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, install, service, and repair residential HVAC systems.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters.
- Maintain detailed service records and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- Perform preventative maintenance on air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, mini-split systems and refrigeration equipment.
- Charge, recover and handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations.
- Install HVAC equipment, ductwork, line sets, thermostats and electrical components.
- Communicate professionally with customers and explain repair recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of residential HVAC service and installation experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- EPA Certification required
- Valid CA driver's license
- Experience brazing copper refrigerant lines
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in attics, crawl spaces and on rooftops
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
