Description
We are looking to hire a Station Technician to join our operations team. As a Station Technician, you will help maintain all station terminals and components. Station Technicians inspect bike and scooter stations throughout Chicagoland to provide spot maintenance and technical assistance, ensuring proper operations. The ideal candidate should have a valid Driver’s License, excellent communication skills, and prior mechanical and technical experience.
Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

Completing maintenance and testing functionality of station components in a professional and timely manner.

Removing and replacing broken station equipment.

Operate a motor vehicle and ride a bicycle throughout an urban environment; responding to work tickets along a route.

Ensuring that all necessary reporting is accurate and completed in a timely manner.

RSI & RSC cycles — Perform bi-monthly inspections and cleaning to maintain station cleanliness, appearance, and functionality per SOP.

Accurate reporting — Document and communicate issues found during inspections; ensure reports are complete and submitted on time.

Station upkeep — Conduct power-washing, graffiti/tag removal, and general appearance maintenance.

Component testing — Test all station components, identify faults, and provide timely, actionable feedback.

Equipment repair — Remove and replace damaged or malfunctioning station equipment.

Field mobility — Operate a motor vehicle and bicycle while using Smart Applications to respond to work tickets along assigned routes.

Requirements

Experience in technical troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Intermediate computer skills, technical aptitude for both electronic and mechanical systems, including a voltmeter for testing batteries.

Possess a valid and active driver's license.

The ability to use technology provided by the company.

A willingness to work in all weather conditions outside, year-round.

The ability to perform assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Reliable access to transportation to and from work.

The ability to lift 75 lbs.

The ability to bend, stoop, climb and stand for long periods.
