Opportunity:
The Production Manager role will initially focus on the production leadership of an FDA Class III medical device currently in production and ramping for a strategic OEM of ours. The Production Manager will focus on adherence to released processes, meeting production demand, continuous improvement, team leadership and talent development, scalability of a complex manufacturing process, and collaboration across all disciplines.
Responsibilities:

Provide total cell leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, delivery, cost.

Direct process improvement programs and provide process method excellence

Lead cell to achieving goals in process improvement, delivered quality and cost reduction

Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees

Direct the planning and manufacturing of production with support from Planners, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Operations resources

Be responsible for meeting all established labor standards, quality, and delivery commitments

Ensure assigned employees are aware/comply with all Arterex Mansfield MA, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations

Pursue Lean beliefs and processes to enhance product / process producibility and delivered quality requirements; own the visual metrics and promote a sustainable Lean culture

Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of team

Structure assigned organization and staff positions with personnel to accomplish business objectives

Provide ongoing supervision and counseling for employees, guiding them in current positions and assisting with career development and training
Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Operations related areas. Experience may be considered in lieu for a formal degree.

10-15 years’ experience preferred in complex electromechanical product manufacturing
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing environment (FDA QMSR, ISO 13485), preferably 10 years

Cleanroom manufacturing experience preferred

Implantable medical device experience beneficial

Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate directly with strategic customers

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Strong lean manufacturing, problem solving, and analytical skills

Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems
