American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Cerner experience and a valid IN or Compact RN license.

Short-term acute care hospital setting with 174 staffed beds on the West campus
-
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with telemetry-level patient care
-
Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital; float to Med Surg may result in a 6-patient assignment

Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)

8-week contract
-
Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required; both AHA and RQI formats accepted

Minimum 18 months of PCU or relevant nursing experience required

Cerner EMR experience required

Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required

2 supervisor professional references required

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Indiana residents are considered local and are not eligible for this position

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

RTO of 5 days or fewer may be auto-approved

Any permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
