Healing Tree Counseling is seeking licensed therapists to join our team as independent contractors. Established in 2012, we are a small, women and LGBTQIA+-owned business in Blacksburg, VA with deep roots in the New River Valley community. Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and/or family group mental health counseling sessions using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs.
- Perform diagnostic assessments, document medical history, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and refer to additional services such as inpatient or outpatient care when appropriate.
- Deliver telehealth therapy when indicated and maintain accurate medical records, privacy, and safeguarding of patient information.
- Engage families or supports in treatment planning as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensed mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, PsyD, or PhD) with current, unrestricted credentials
- Experience providing mental health counseling and behavioral health services; telehealth capability a plus
- Proficiency in patient assessment, medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and clinical records management
- Skills in psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, or other modalities.
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
Pay: $71,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year
