Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role owns the monthly close process, oversees general ledger activity, supports project financial performance, and continuously improves accounting processes and internal controls.
This individual combines strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive, collaborative approach—providing leadership across accounting operations while partnering with leaders throughout the business to support sound financial decision-making.
Role Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies
- Prepare monthly management reporting packages and financial analyses
- Accounting and reporting for hotel fund and related investments
- Assist with annual financial statement preparation, audit and tax coordination
Revenue & Project Accounting
- Oversee project billing and revenue recognition
- Partner with Project Managers and Leadership to ensure timely, accurate client invoicing
- Review project financial performance and profitability
- Monitor WIP, unbilled revenue, receivables, and collections
- Support forecasting and revenue planning
Operational Leadership
Manage daily accounting operations including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Cash receipts
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets
- Expense reporting
Review and improve accounting workflows and internal controls
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
Support implementation and optimization of financial systems
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare variance analyses and management insights
- Monitor cash flow and cash forecasting
- Support financial modeling for strategic initiatives
- Develop meaningful KPIs and reporting for leadership
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary accounting resource for department leaders
- Mentor and support members of the accounting team, including our Manila accounting operations
- Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, Procurement, Design, and Project Leadership
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the CFO
Role Requirements
Required
- Minimum 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA or Public accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional services environment
Preferred
- Experience within architecture, design, engineering, consulting, or another project-based professional services firm
- Experience working with multi-entity organizations
- Experience leading accounting process improvements and system implementations
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (or Deltek Vision)
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
