Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Childcare Van Driver/ School Age Teacher to join our team, providing safe and reliable transportation for children, as well as a fun afternoon classroom. This role involves operating a Ford Transit Van, ensuring the safety and comfort of young passengers while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for working with children, and the ability to respond quickly to traffic changes and emergency situations. Morning Shift:
- 7:30-8 Van driving
Afternoon Shift:
-2:00-4:00 Van Driving
-4:00-6:00 Afternoon School age teacher
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle environment, ensuring safety equipment such as first aid kits and emergency stop procedures are in place and functional.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, school staff, and team members during daily shift.
- Respond promptly to traffic changes or route adjustments, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents or accidents, including CPR if necessary.
- Be willing to be CPR certified. This will be a paid training through the facility.
Experience
- Prior experience driving driving children is highly desired.
- Must be 21 years or older
- High school diploma or higher education.
- Proven ability to work with children in childcare or educational settings.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and transportation safety regulations.
- Certification in first aid (including CPR) and emergency response procedures is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage student discipline effectively.
- Willing to complete facility training before driving/ working within a classroom setting.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
