What you’ll do
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes with precision and flair
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen to meet food safety standards
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to create innovative menu items
- Assist in menu planning and development to enhance our offerings
- Provide exceptional service by engaging with guests about sushi selections
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role, specifically in sushi preparation
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various fish types and preparation methods
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in fine dining establishments or high-volume restaurants
- Background in dietary departments or catering services is a plus
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety practices
